SC Collegium recommends names of nine advocates and four judicial officers for elevation as Bombay HC judges

THE Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the names of judicial officers as well as advocates for elevations as judges of the Bombay High Court.

Supreme Court’s statement.

A total of nine advocates have been recommended. They are-

  • Aruna S. Pai,
  • Shailesh P. Brahme,
  • Kamal R. Khata,
  • Sharmila U. Deshmukh,
  • Amira Abdul Razaq,
  • Sandeep V. Marne,
  • Sandeep H. Parikh,
  • Somasekhar Sundaresan,
  • Mahendra M. Nerlikar

The Collegium has also recommended the appointment of four judicial officers as Bombay High Court judges. They are-

  • Rajesh N. Laddha,
  • Sanjay G. Mehare,
  • G.A. Sanap, and
  • S.G. Dige

The Collegium comprises CJI SA Bobde and Justices NV Ramana and RF Nariman.
