Ruthless Justice’s Domain

The pawed and clawed cannot forget her pain
Raising her voice, she relives it again and again

It takes exceptional determination to complain
Because the usual way is to just wash the stain

The system is not just, it is ruthlessly self-serving
Trained to milk tragedies, watch circulation gain

What is just in a process where accused sit pretty
And the victim has to recreate and relive her pain?

Courts of law are many; courts of justice hardly any
Victims of sexual harassment tread a barren terrain

Acquittals happen, victims are shamed and blamed
A case law gets added to ruthless justice’s domain.
