National Testing Agency announces revised exam dates, check here

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the revised dates of various examinations including UGC-NET, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) OPENMAT and PhD, Delhi University (DU) entrance test and  Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) AIEEA exams.

As per the revised schedule, the DU entrance test will be held from September 6 to 11. UGC NET June exam will be conducted between September 16 and 25. IGNOU OPENMAT MBA exam will be held on September 15 and PhD entrance test will be conducted on October 4.

ICAR AIEEA UG exam is scheduled to be held on September 7 and 8. The dates for its PG and Ph.D. level exams have not been announced yet.

“Keeping in view the academic interest of large number of students, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has agreed to the proposal of the Ministry of Education for conducting various Entrance Examinations in the month of September 2020”, the NTA says.

These examinations were initially scheduled to be held in the month of May and June but NTA had to postpone the exams due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdown.

NTA has already announced the dates of JEE Mains and NEET UG exams. The JEE Mains will be held from September 1 to 6 and NEET UG will be held on September 13.

On August 18, the Supreme Court dismissed a petition seeking to defer the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) scheduled to be held next month amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Today, BJP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Subramanian Swamy has written to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking his indulgences to direct the postponement of NEET/JEE & other competitive by exams till after Deepavali.
