Petitioner Yogender Kumar, an IAF corporal, contended that the decision of the IAF to cancel his services for refusing to take the vaccine was against the guidelines of the Centre on the vaccination. Besides, it violated Article 14 and 21 of the Constitution.
Kumar added that he had the right to receive treatment of his choice and that vaccination cannot be forced upon him as it would be violative of individual choice.
The matter will be heard again on July 1.
