‘EVERY CASE IS DIFFERENT’

Why should there be consistency

In how the majestic courts decide?

It depends on so many factors

Including who appears on which side

“Every case is different” says Milord

Why should decisions be the same?

Provide us valid grounds for bail

Instead of repeating arguments lame

How can we take anything lightly

When it falls from counsel for State

Petitioners must therefore convince us

Or resign themselves to their fate

All journalists can never be equal

Can an unknown equal a celebrity?

We use our own supreme method

To apportion liberty and equality!

We don’t sit on this mighty bench

To advise senior lawyers what to do

Let them read the full Constitution

And not just harp on Article 32

If you shy away from High Courts

Those Milords will be short of work

Thus we relegate you with noble aim

Not with any intention to shirk..

We are watchdogs guarding you

You must trust what we do is right

But if you start making fun of us

Our bark can be worse than our bite!
