The Delhi High Court on Thursday asked its subordinate courts not to pass adverse orders in non-urgent/routine matters where the concerned advocate/litigant is unable to join the proceedings through video conferencing, till normal functioning of courts is resumed.
A communication to this effect was issued by the Registrar General, Delhi High Court to the District & Sessions Judge (HQs); District & Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge (PC Act) CBI, Rouse Avenue Court Complex; all the District & Sessions Judges and the Principal Judge (HQs), Family Court.
The High Court also directed that evidence shall be recorded only in ex-parte and uncontested matters where the same is required to be tendered by way of affidavit.
On July 30, the HC had extended the suspension of physical hearing till August 14 while allowing the subordinate courts to hear all the cases listed before them through videoconferencing.
