Arogya Setu app made mandatory for all employees, both private & public; selling of liquor allowed with the rider that “2 gaz ki doori” is maintained at the shop

THE Government of India while extending the nationwide Lockdown for next two more weeks on Friday also issued revised National Directives for Covid-19 management. According to these directives use of ‘Arogya Setu’ app shall be mandatory for all employees, both private & public. It shall be the responsibility of the Head of the respective organisation to ensure 100% coverage of this app among employees.

Also amidst the growing demand to open liquor shops, the national directives allowed selling of liquor, paan, gutka, tobacco etc., subject to shops ensuring minimum six feet distance from each other and also ensure that not more than 5 persons are present at one time at the shop.

Wearing of face cover to remain compulsory in all public places. Also, persons in charge of public places and transport shall ensure social distancing as per the guidelines of the Ministry of Health Family Welfare.  Spitting in public spaces shall be punishable with a fine. No organization/manager of a public place shall allow gathering of 5 or more persons.

Further, marriages related gathering to ensure social distancing and a maximum number of guest allowed shall not be more than 50. Also, consumption of liquor, paan, gutka, tobacco etc., in public to remain prohibited.

Persons above 65 years of age, a person with co-morbidities, pregnant women and children below the age of 10 years shall stay at home except for meeting essential requirement and for health purposes.
